Project Overview
Whilst berthed at Hartlepool the Awilco Drilling Rig “The Wilphoenix” required numerous upgrades and maintenance work to be delivered to a very tight schedule. The requirement for a new Choke and Kill system and 30Te Manifold were a key part of these upgrades.
The Solution
Manufactured a 4.5m long x 4.5m wide x 4.5m high structure under DNV survey and to DNV Rules. From order placement, the manifold structure was produced within 4 weeks and this was released without fault.
The structure comprised of heavy sections and all connections required full penetration welding to a standard acceptable when subjected to 100% ultrasonic testing and MPI.
